Planet Management Advisor
Description
The Planet Management Advisor is a freely available tool designed for advanced users who want deeper control over planetary configuration, population planning, and operational thresholds. It builds on the logic of the Governor Helper but adds full per‑planet configuration, automated calculations, and alerting logic tailored to your own worlds.
The tool is structured into several key components:
- PLANETS sheet
Where you configure each planet’s materials, infrastructure overrides, and operational thresholds.- MinAW: Minimum Available Workers
- MinTH: Minimum Target Happiness
- MinTHWU: Minimum Target Happiness Without Unemployment
- MinCH: Minimum Current Happiness if below Minimum Available Workers
- MinCHWU: Minimum Current Happiness Without Unemployment if below Minimum Available Workers
- HELPER sheet
A personalized version of the Governor Helper showing all configured planets with your parameters applied. - Calculations sheet
Where all computations occur. The system uses Target Population as the default anchor to avoid infinite growth loops. Target Population updates automatically based on Current Population + Minimum Available Workers. - Analysis sheet
Identifies tripwires and conditions that generate alerts in the MAIN sheet.
Note on FIO Updates: for accurate results, load a screen showing the PLI and POPR windows for each planet before running a data update.
How to use
You can access it here: ACTO – Planet Management Advisor ![]()
- Make a duplicate of the sheet to begin using it.
- Configure the PLANETS sheet with your current materials, infrastructure overrides, and threshold values.
- Before updating, add an in‑game screen that displays the PLI and POPR windows for each of your planets. This ensures the sheet can pull the latest values correctly.
- Set up automatic data updates:
- Open Extensions → Apps Script
- In the left menu, select Triggers
- Add a new trigger for MANHIM_Update_All
- Recommended setup:
- From spreadsheet
- On open
- Use the MAIN and HELPER sheets to monitor alerts, thresholds, and projected outcomes across your configured planets. For more in‑depth insight into how these values are derived, you can also consult the Calculations sheet.
